This was my attempt at a playlist in 2011.
1. Billy Mackenzie, my favourite singer.
2. My favourite band.
3. For Hannah.
4.12.13. Hip-Hop/RnB which never ceases to surprise me.
5. I was really ill last year and thought at one point that i was going to die. Solid Gold's album Bodies Of Water was one i listened to a lot when I was recovering. This song meant the most to me.
6.Noah Lennox is a genius.
7.My hero.
8.17.Reggae and Dub another two of my musical passions.
9.10.Scuzzy, lo-fi, noisy. Life affirming.
11.The only #1 on the list. The only real hit for that matter. Blondie is a band!
14.Well, well, beep, beep.
15.The wolf theme from Fantastic Mr Fox. I almost cried. Almost.
16.Buzz, buzz, buzz. One of my favourite bands.
17.Nothing beats a decent slab of instrumental rockabilly.
18.No, I am. The Fall, 'always different, always the same' (John Peel).
20.For my friend Gordon.
