I cannot emphasise enough that keeping your concept simple results in a much better video. Tight shots (in all close ups you'll crop the top of the artists head off), tracks and pans, long shots (of the band playing in unison), hand held shots, key lighting, avoid static shots like the plague and performance, performance, performance is all you need.
The only reason for a static shot is this.
